SITUATION
St Lawrence lies on the southern shore of the River Blackwater opposite Tollesbury and enjoying the outlook onto the Estuary, Bradwell and West Mersea.
Lamorna is situated in Tinnocks Lane, a private lane, leading down to the sea wall and enjoying views over the private area of greensward, known as
Ramsey Island, shared by all the residents of Tinnocks Lane, to the river Blackwater beyond. The village has a Post Office store, however more widespread
shopping facilities can be found in Burnham on Crouch to the south and the larger centre of Maldon to the west. The area offers excellent leisure facilities,
The Stone Sailing Club, being sited in the village and other marinas nearby at Bradwell Waterside and the internationally renowned sailing centre of
Burnham on Crouch. To the east is Bradwell on Sea and the ancient Church of St Peter on the Wall and the wide open spaces of the Bradwell Marshes.
The area is not only popular for watersports but also offers interesting walks inland and on the sea wall and rural bicycle rides and, in autumn, for the
ornithologist, migrating wildfowl. From the first floor balcony the property enjoys wonderful wide sky views across the Blackwater Estuary towards
Bradwell and West Mersea.
